Benefits of drumming:
Makes you happy – drumming releases endorphins and Alpha waves in the brain associated with feelings of wellbeing and euphoria.
Induces deep relaxation
Creates a sense of connectedness – connect with your own spirit on a deeper level while also connecting with other like-minded people. Helping those who suffer with social anxiety and help us to lose our inhibitions.
Boosts your immune system – Barry Bittman, MD, neurologist and President of Yamaha Music & Wellness Institute, has shown that group drumming increases T- cells, which help the body combat certain viruses.
Aligns our body and mind with the natural world
Release what no longer serves – the act of drumming can serve as a form of self- expression. Drumming is a great way of letting go of negative thoughts and emotions removing those energy blockages.
Brings us in the present moment – drumming brings us into a mindfulness state.
Allows for personal transformation – stimulating creative expression. Drumming takes us on a journey and through the connection within the circle with others, the power of relaxation, releasing and restoring calm and balance opens us up to each other in a truly restorative and supportive way.
Let’s drum together…
A freeing and uplifting experience. Drumming Circles are all about connection, joy, and the simple power of drumming together as a community.
Whether you're a seasoned drummer or trying it for the first time, you’re welcome to come, play, and feel the rhythm.
No experience needed—just an open heart, a willingness to have fun and perhaps curious to using the voice for chanting with drums as well (you don't need to be a
singer!).
During this event we use our drums to connect in with our primal flow, to release what no longer serves us, to heal and to connect us as a community on an exploration of rewilding and connecting outward through the drum.
Let's drum, laugh, and heal together.
